Material Strength

I will be putting s set of Custom Fabricated Headers on my 12A, to complement the dual chamber i recently bought, I have seen my stock Exhaust Manifold glow Red many times, this material seems to be able to withstand the constant heat and pressure, will a set from Racingbeat be able to do the same?

Simple answer - yes Racing Beat will withstand. Better than most. There is another company that makes headers that will withstand very well also, but they are most expensive if I recall correctly.

Racing Beat's products sold for rotaries are rotary specific, and all racing beat parts have been tried and tested with results of being able to withstand the power of rotaries.

Racingbeat headers are constructed quite well, but part of your post is a bit worrysome....I have driven my 12a car prety damn hard....and have made the brakes rotors glow red... But not once have I ever seen my exhaust manifold glow...

I really cant say this as a fact, but in my opinion basically anything truly glowing red is bad... The one exception there would have to be a car that makes a crapload of horsepower, as I have seen some big turbos glow red after track time....or an FD that melted all the wiring on the right side of the engine...

Id read the FAQs well if I were you and try to tone down the color of your exhaust mani and tune up the engine before adding performance parts.

Good luck with the 7!!

With the glowing headers, they are probably just running rich or need to adjust timing. If his carb is shot it could be pouring fuel down the engine's throat and thus leading to it to burn while in the exhaust piping as well.

Make yourself or get made for you a set of extractors in 5mm steampipe! You will never look back. Steampipe with good welds will outlast pretty much any thinner tube and the sound produced is awesome.

As already stated, fix the issue rather than trying to accomodate it. Glowing manifolds means either your timing is too retarded, you have lost the leading ignition, you are running too rich, or your cats may be clogged. Racing Beat headers are indestructible.

Thumbs up

When I had Holes cut into the Racing Beat Header for the Bosch Sensors the guy at the Muffler Shop fried a tip on his Plasma Cutter and told me that it was the Thickest Material he had seen in 20yrs.
That's something to be said about RB's Headers.

I'll Be damned, I knew the reason why my Headers were Glowing Red, Seems Everyone in here does too. I like the knowledge this group holds. Oh and in case your wondering, I Intentionally run my 85' 12A on the rich side. Oh and to the 5mm Steampipe, isn't that really think, say 5mm Thick?

no, high quality hearders made for a rotary will not hold up to the heat of a rotary.

Yes, I used to drift alot, over the past 3 years I have gotten out of it and now just enjoy cars.

Sadly, I was too lazy to change all my names on the internet so I'm stuck with the name.
