Mariah Wide body gto rim size and width

Hey guys i got the mariah wide body kit, gtu one and i am trying to find the correct width for the rims for it to look right. I am thinking 16 x 10 but i heard that size is hard to find for tires, ill be using a 1.3 in thick adapter to convert it to 4*100. What offset should i use, width, size? thanks

maybe you use upgrade your front brake assembly and the entire rear end to a GSL-SE so you can ditch the adapter plate and have a wide selection of rims

i'd go 17. there just aren't any tires for 15 and 16 anymore

and definitely go 4x114.3 or 5x114.3 no adapters.

The reason why i was using the adapter plates is because later on when i have all the parts for the conversion, i am going to ditch the complete suspension of the 7 and custom fit the miata suspension since its independent all around and if i use the adapter i can later still use the rims without the adapters. What do you guys suggest?

i suggest not doing what you're planning.

miata suspension sucks until you go all aftermarket. and you'll have to completely tear out the *** end to fit something that will do nothing for your performance. all for what, some wheels you can't even buy rubber for.

The Miata rear end has been done, but he had to chop out the frame and weld in new steel to fit it. Then he wrecked it at the track. If you have the fab skills knock yourself out. It's your project. However there really isn't anything wrong with the live axle except the poorly designed 4 link. Switch to a tri-link and panhard and you'll be all set. You can use the RE-Speed brake conversion kit to use the TII 5x114.3 hubs then you'll have a wide selection of 16" and up wheels. If you want to know exactly what size you need, you'll have to get in there with a tape measure and find out. That way you know for sure.
