but ... I dont know what you mean by locking the dist. You mean no cent and vacumm advance?

oops sorry, I missed half. I have no expereince with half-bridge. my recommendation is for a full bridge. just keep a 10 degree split

hello i know this is a old post but i was wondering if you could help, i have a 1971 vw super beetle with a 1991 turbo 2 engine with a t70 turbo blowthrough 650 carb fully ported, they say to set the timing at 10degree btc i can do leading but where on that pully would trailing end up at would it end up in the middle of leading and trailing ? any help would be great thanks.

^^^^ better idea to start a new post... but to answer your question... you should be running a 10* split. So if your leading is at 10* BTDC then trailing will be at 0* or TDC.
