lsd questions.
i recently did a lsd swap into my car but have a few questions.first one:
1.my lsd came out of a 1984 gsl, how do i know if its a clutch type or viscous?
2.is there such a thing as torque sensing lsd for rotarys this early?
3. how can i test the overall condition of the lsd?
i know both wheels are turning the same direction and i now burn out leaving 2 tire marks.
4. how do i know if the lsd is slipping internally?
5.can i use any lsd additive or is there a specific one?/

1. there is only one type of lsd that came stock on 1st gens, clutch type
2. yes, torsens are available for 1st gens... check out http://www.gurumotorsports.com/products/tbd.htm
3 & 4. if it feels good (no peg leg burn outs), then it's probably okay. You can also put the parking brake on and jack up one side of the car and feel the resistance spinning only one wheel.
5. Use high quality gear oil, Neo, Torco, Redline...which don't require additional additives
