Talking Loving the exposure

All of my friends, well most of them, are divided by 2 groups, Pistons and Rotories. The rotaries are a much smaller group, and when I show people my engine, thier like, OOOOOHHH a Rotary Engine I heard of those, wasn't that something Aliens invented???

Well anyways my point is since the RX-8 has came out I have since a new interest in the Rotary, I went to go see X-men Wolverines's sporting an RX-8. just saw Fear Factor and the guys won An Rx-8.. I am wondering what new and exciting thing for us Rotary lovers is to come....

Just a thought

We should all open shops to fix the new motors. I'm guessing most dealers aren't gonna know a whole lot about them...

Im really hoping the rx-8 takes off. It would be great to see rotaries become more popular. And we can still be cool in our old school first gens I couldnt believe it, a guy came up to me in class today, knowing that I was somewhat of a car enthusiast, and said "man, have you heard of those engines, you know, with the spinning triangles? They would be great if they were more reliable" So I whipped out my road & track guide to the rx-8, which I conveniently had on hand, and told him what they were all about, heh, people and their pistons...

More reliable?!? *laughs out loud, tipping back on his chair*

Okay... *takes a breath*.. alright... I hope you smacked him for that. How can an engine with easily less than a quarter the moving parts of a piston engine be anything but less prone to breaking? the reason ours break is 'cause they're 20 years old, that's all.. and even then, the engines don't seem too bad.

:P

agreed! people always come up to my car and say **** like "how often does that thing break on you" or "what kind of car is that?" (i dont have any emblems to help them out hahaha) and i just laugh my *** off in my head. i usually just answer, "she doesnt break, just gets sick sometimes" and "i haven't figured out what it is yet".
