Louder = Not street legal?!

I was getting sick of being robbed of power by my cat on my '81, so I cut it off last night and found that I had to drive home through the back roads so I wouldn't cause a disturbance in the neighborhoods. I have no muffler, no silencer no NOTHIN'. Just one pipe from the manifold to the end. I love the noise, its really rich but i'm almost positive im gonna get a ticket for noise pollution. I live in Ontario in case that helps, im not really sure what the regulations are for noise pollution but I was wondering if any one here drives their car like mine is and if theyve had any problems with the law. Also, if u could suggest sumthing to dim down the noise a bit without making it lame, that would help alot. thanks

LOL, I'm going to remember that line. That reminds me of that Simpsons episode where they turnb springfield into a garbage dump, and that indian guy cried at the single bag of chips homer polluted. I could just imagine that same indian guy standing behind an rx7, one tear rolling down his face as it fires up. sorry got off topic....

What you didn't think it was gonna be loud? It's been said time and time again that a rotary with straight exhaust/ no exhaust was louder than all outside. What makes you think yours was gonna be any different?

roarin rotary, for some reason, when u described that ghetto-ness u have for an exhaust system, i pictured a primerd grey fb, with a red fender, a blue sunroof, purple window tint, and dirty *** caked up brake dust filled rims... please post a pic to prove me wrong.

rxseven07, i would be willing to bet my car is one of the nicest cars on this site, it just took me until now to remove my restricting cat. I have now installed a full RB exhaust system with headers. i was just trying to get other members opinions before throwing a load of money down (which ive had 2 do anyways). Next time i won't ask for anyones opinion...

Hope this picture of my 7 fulfils your vision of the ghetto primed purple monstrosity u assumed i had...
thanks
