If you were running 100+PSI previously as stated, I wonder if that contributed to the o-ring failure?
The front cover bypass kicks in at 156psi; you'd think the system would be deisgned to take somewhat more than that.
That little o-ring carries quite a load of responsibility, if you think about how important oil is to a rotary. Seems like a more positive containment method would have been considered.
Good thing it didn't wait to let go until AFTER you got to the track.
