Long day's journey
Next May I'm moving from Tampa, FL to New Hampshire. I know I should have the car hauled up north, but with my finances I'm not sure I can. I'm really worried if my '84 12a can handle a trip that long, and I'm wondering if there are any ideas out there on what to look out for and how I could protect the car from overheating or somesuch during the trip. Worst comes to worst, I'll go as far as I can and then have AAA tow it afer it breaks down (knock on wood). I'd really hate to blow the engine on the trip.

well if driving a Uhaul or something get a car dolly or something.
If coming though ATL and it breaks down just give me a yell and you can leave it at my place or what have you until you get time to come and get it. the cost of a car dolly vs AAA well seems a little crazy... I'm a daily driver of mine and would trust it to make the long trip. if your car seem to be in good condition get the fluids changed run 2-cycle in your gas, and check for cracked hoses. i would think that it would make the trip just fine.
