If I were you I would offer the dealer 1k. If he says no walk away. Chances are he'll probably chase you and say "WAIT WAIT!!" and at that point you know you'll have him hooked. If he doesn't chase you, come back in 1-2 Months and do the same thing. I guarantee you'll be able to buy this for less than 1500. If you dont it's not worth it.

yeah, my dad doesnt like the idea of spending that much money on a 20 year old car. i talked with him about it today. he seems to want me to get the 90gtu from a rotary mechanic for $2500 with 150000 miles instead of the 99000 mile gsl-se.

ill go ahead and see how low the dealer will go though. only problem is i know who sold the car to the dealer (if you read that first link), and they wanted $5000 for it from me, i told them i had $1000 to spend on it. so i know they had to sell it to the dealer for more than $1000, and the dealer wants to make money off it. but yeah, ill go ahead and see how much lower he will go. ive never talked to a dealer before, only the rotary mechanic who i kinda know through email and talking with him in person a couple times. are dealers easy to bargain with in general? if you read the list of problems ive found with the car i think that will help. if i go over there with them already typed up and printed out and show him that might work pretty good. also to add to the list that i forgot earlier...
brights switch doesnt stay in place, you have to hold it or it snaps back to normal
light front end damage, its on the very bottom where it goes back, on the right

and too kinda test the condition of the engine without really looking at it, i raced my friends mustang with it after they told me the price (they let me keap it one more day). its a 5spd 99 v6 with CAI. he killed me at the top of second and through third. now i also raced him with my dads 04 4cyl auto accord (dont say anything about how i shouldnt be racing my dads car) and its about dead even until we stopped at about 70mph. i would think a 5spd gsl-se should beat an accord, or not? maybe the engine has problems that i dont know about.
