The List...

im not sure if this has been talked about before but ive been so busy that doing a search would be impossible for me so i was wondering if any RexGuru's would help a fellow 7'er out. today i picked up a tranny for my 84gslAuto and i was wondering what other parts i would need to accomplish my task of making it into a manual, so far i have the tranny, driveshaft, and clutch/pressure plate which i might add i got it all for a bottle of JD =) but seriously i would really appreciate anything you guys can help me...sorry for the long post thanks in advance.... Someone did this a while back, and wrote all about it as I recall... stop making excuses and hit the search button lol. Think of how much quicker that is than some other equally-busy person typing out a novel for you. (no offence intended, just joking around)

I think Gamble302 was the most recent winner of the transvestite swap contest.

He swapped his Auto for a STICK. I don't know if he swapped spit though.

- LOL - Just Kidding Gamble, - funky mood over here.

no i was going to though. hell i still am but when i went to get the new motor/tranny i ended buying the entire car. you know how that goes. show up to get a motor and tranny cheap and end up liking the car too much. brown 85 gs hardtop with a streetport, holley, and rb sp exhaust. what more needs to be said? i couldnt let it be parted out. going to finsih the rear end swap now. gonna take her for a drive and clean her up and post pics tonight. and a rear end how to for people like me(i was skeered of doin it at first)
needs a custom tranny mount, the pedals, interior trim, clutch master cyl, driveshaft, and some time. dont plan on doing it in a few hours if you havent done it before. mike p-28 was sayin id have my rear swapped in 1.5 hours....
all night later i have it out. no impact wrench and only one 21mm socket so i had to use a damn 4 way lug wrench to break a few loose lol. now to put the darn thing back in

its not hard to do but very consuming. the junk yards in sun valley and ontario are filled with first gen. need 1st gen tranny, tranny mount, driveshaft, clutch pedal along with the cylinder, brake pedal, brake master etc etc. your looking at $300 +/- for all the parts.

btw, im in eagle rock area.
