Hello. I was looking for a spoiler for an RX-7 “SE” and came across a ’93 RX-7 with lambo (vertical) doors. I was wondering if any one has seen a first generation RX-7 with lambo door. I will like to see how it looks. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you guys,
Luism12lm.

The doors posted by darkfrost are, I believe, called 'butterfly' doors - a sort of nuveau-gullwing. Lambo doors are the scissor type, hinged in a single pivit typically at the top front of the door below the A pillar. True gullwings are hinged along a center T bar in the roof only.

Yeah, I've seen a clown with an Acura CL who had these "butterfly" lambo doors installed. I saw the passenger open the door first about <1ft (the regular way), then he had to swing the door up and out[U]. Seems silly to me, but what do I know I drive an RX. Kids these days, ohh yeah I forgot the idiot also had an air bag suspension on his CL. WTF!!??

I came across a site that says that it makes it just as easy if not easier to get in and out with lambo doors becasue the pivot out like regular hinges if you want and up like the lambo if you want and so you have the option of doing either or but I also wanted to knwo if the lambo doors would work on first gen and get this done to it even though ever one thinks that it is becoming over done

$3,000 is for the corvette. With a group buy we could get 10 for our cars @ $1,599 each - but if you read the fine print what you're buying for that lofty sum is two hinges, two shock struts, and a bit of electrical wire (to extend your door harness)
can't find a universal kit on the site

I neither like the butterfly (we call them "maikäfer-doors") nor the lambo (scissor) doors on first gens. Gullwing doors might be ok, but I doubt it. As for suicidedoors... no comment ![Wink](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
These doors look best the way they are. That's my opinion. Gullwingdoors might be ok on an FC though.
Other then that, I'm getting tired of every second car in a carshow having lambo-style doors. It's just too much. And of course, they'd be illegal overhere, but I guess that's no problem in the USA.
