Killer deal .. need help !!
Hey guys ... I got in on what I think is a killer deal ! lol This guy has a 13B he wants to sell me out of a 90 GXL. He has the engine in parts because he wanted to rebuild it, but never got arround to it and now wants to get rid of .. EVERYTHING ! ... He says the core is good ,and that the engine ran when he took it out, just was having many problems ( thus the rebuild). We didn't get in to details or any thing but he wants to sell the WHOLE core, ( with oil pan, rotors, bla bla bla, the works) for 150$ CND ! He's also got 2 intakes ... one off an 88, and one of a 90 ,but that's not in the 150 $ ...
Ok ! I need your help here:
1) is it a good deal ?
2) what else should I ask for ? even if paying abit more ?
3) What should I look for ?
I'm going over there on friday so I really wanna know !!
Thanks alot guys !

Forget the intakes. Unless you're using fuel injection (which you probably won't.. I know you're going for a "simple" swap) then the intakes are useless.
Get the core and save up for an RB Holley intake.
As for what to look for, all I know is:
- make sure there's no flaking on the inside of the housings
- look for any defects on the rotors such as scratch marks
I'm pretty clueless from there![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Congrats on the find
Jon

as for the enigne, how many miles was on it? if ur able to actually go and look at it, check for chrome flaking off, amount of step wear on the side housings. how long has it been sitting since it was took apart? i'd also ask what kind of problems there was the reason for the rebuild. either way, i think it's a good buy.
