just bought fb rx-7

I just bought an 82 rx for 50 bucks and a case of beer! My biggest problem is that the clips for the pads are missing and the brakes chatter some thing awful unless they are applied.Does anyone know where to get the clips? Secondly, the radio,I've done alot of radio installations in my day but this takes the cake,no constant hot first off, then also what is the cord that looks like a keyboard plug in,Antenna, speakers? Then how do I modify all of this for a "modern day" newfangled cd player. The car was in a field for 5 years and had a variety of critters in it,well some one decided to cure that with decon.(not me)well I can locate the stench, but no body.I have tried to febreeze my way out of it but to no avail, any hints,no 2/70 doen't help either(but it's fun)and lastly.I've heard of a carb mod for nikki carbs that requires cuting an internal spring for the secondaries to open at lower rpms.would anyone recommend or dissaprove of this?I dont want a street rod that runs 9's.I just want to make my little stock"molly"the best she can be!Also, how about using the quaker state high milage oil 10w40.will this damage any of the rotary's seals,it's only got 101,000 on it but it is an 82.And last thing i need is to have to replace an apex seal or worse.Any help would be great.

there is a constant, get a test light, and the keyboard connector is an amp connector and possibly the fader stick depending on your model

hey. welcome to the forum. glad to hear that you got a good deal on your 7. there are alot of cheap things to doto it for better performance. i can't help you on many of your problems, but i do have input on your carb. i've never cut a spring to open the secondaries faster, i've just turned a fastner around on the secondary rod to make them open mechanically. like what it does myself. good luck on the stinch.
