IL Just bought an '84 GSL SE!

I recently purchased a 1984 GSL SE Gray Exterior on Red leather Interior.
Overall it's a pretty clean car with basically no rust.

Specs below..

Engine: PROFESSIONALLY STREETPORTED AND REBUILT 13B W/ALL ATKINS SEALS INCLUDING APEX SEALS. RACING BEAT INTAKE W/HOLLEY CARB (I BELEIVE IT'S A 650CFM)
RACING BEAT HEADER W/3" EXHAUST. COMPLETE MSD IGNITION SYSTEM W/2 MSD6 BOXES AND 2 BLASTER 2 COILS. HOLLEY ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP W/PRESSURE REGULATOR. ELECTRIC COOLING FANS.

Transmission/Differential: FRESHLY REBUILT FC 5 SPEED, 8.8 FORD GEARS IN LIMITED SLIP REAR END W/HEAVY DUTY AXLES, 6 PUCK CLUTCH, LAVE CYLINDER, SHORT SHIFTER.

Coming from heavier cars, this thing is a blast to drive around the corners or in a straight line.

Will take/post up pics soon .

Initially it was planned to be built into a drag car, but really it isn't that big (pics below).

seems it hass the GSL bits, not a GSL-SE. SE door panels are solid not striped and it has the regular bolt pattern wheels. either way a super nice RX-7!

Hmm, wrong wheels for an -SE unless there are some adapter things going on somewhere...

I see no electric cooling and that looks like a stock rear end, Ford 8.8 can not fit into our rear ends but the seller could have change the gearing none the less. I'm not sure if that's an SE, but more likely a GSL with a 13B installed.

You can also adjust the left head light lid by removing the rubber cover on the head light motor and turn the *** left or right to set the correct position. You should post some more pictures it looks like an interesting car.

Easy way to tell, look at the VIN plate. -SE's have different VINs. Something like JM1FB331 (12A non-SE car) versus JM1FB332 (13B -SE car). Thats just off the top of my head though, its been a few years so those numbers might be wrong...

There's 2 electric fans mounted on the front side of the radiator, so not visible in the picture obviously.

All I know about the rear end (according to previous owner) is that it has 8.8 Ford gears, and a 3.71 or 3.73 final drive gear (don't remember which of the two).

The passenger headlight is aligned perfectly but the driver's side sometimes gets stuck like it did in the picture (all that's needed to close fully is to simply press it down). I'll take a look at it soon though.

You're right, I looked at the VIN and it is a GSL. I thought it was an SE since it has rear disc brakes (I read only SE models came with rear disc brakes).
