Paul's right, if you're not racing it what's the point? If you're not, smaller might be better. But it looks pretty good, and I think the rear bumper idea is great, I think you can order them from J.C Whittney for about the same price if not less.

I got it for 2 reasons... Looks and a little more downforce... I notice when im flying around those banked highway turns or on/off ramps the rear likes to slide out a little which isn't exactly good at those speeds...

Just had an interesting thought on methods of tuning a wing. Go back to the WW1 tecnique for a stall warning device on aircraft wings. Attach light ribbons on the wing. If the wing is not at the right angle the ribbon will not flow but be sucked to the low pressure side. I suggest the ideal angle would be when the ribbon flows straight below 80 mph and upwards above that speed. T
he optimal angle of a wing varies according to car shape, you just can't transfer a wing from one model to another. If you dont have access to a wind tunnel, then the suggested method may be a cheap alternative.

That wing isn't for me. Ruins the nice lines of the FB.

Paul Fitzwarryne: I like the idea about tuning the wing! Some good "outta the box" type thinking there!

LOL@ overcook their rice!

I would like to know if that wing does cause more downforce, cuz I think it doesn't look bad and might put one on my car.

It would also blend better on my car since it is silver

It took me a few hours..The longest part was drilling the holes which i had to move up slowly in size as to not chip lots of paint. The wing fits perfectly and does not touch the glass in any way. The only problem is that since the back of the car curves down you have to put some type of little rubber between the car and the stands to fill up the gap... You'll see what im talking about when you place the spolier on there.

Quick side note Jimmy, as you are refering to the paint. Once you drilled the holes did you paint the holes (Edges and inside) as they'll be prone to rust now?

i tried to put as much paint as i could on the bare metal and on the bolts as well. Before the car goes out i will try to seal that area in some way.

Is that all you can say about my car is its paint and Tac?

Stock tac goes to 8 k, My car s being bridge ported right now,I needed a high rpm range tac.

The paint was free I had to spray from the cowl down and on both fenders, cause some redneck hit my car at the races. We got boared and my friend wanted to try something,I knwo it wasnt going to stay there forever, and before my engine is done the whole car will be resprayed,

I hope you come back with something better than that next time,Why do you need more down force,Your car already sites 2 inches off the ground (Hope your watts links are ok) do you even run on the track? Why is a wing needed?

Im just playing man, no need to get upset... its like you keep calling my car rice so i kept calling yours too! Simple as that

I need the wing since i do Mostly highway driving, the car loves to let the rear slide on those banked curves along with on/off ramps which isn't exactly very good at 130km/h+

I saw you post that before about the on and off ramps,

Thats just hw the first gen reacts,it feels like the *** is going to come out from under you if you let off the gas.

I really dont think the wing would help,

I got a wing sitting to be mounted but its the factory style wing,

ONLY thing I would say thats rice on my car ..would be the lighted up winsheild sprayers,NO the are not hooked up,I even got the clear ones.I put them on cause I couldnt find stock ones and mine were trashed,I tried to clean them with a staple and keep spraying them,One the car gets redone,I guess I will put out $14. a peice for the stock ones, compared to the $10. for the pair of rice ones.

rice.... ahhhhh will it ever end...?, i meen cmon my personal opinion on rice is... It aint rice if it wasnt origionaly a family sedan... you see we all own (sports cars) our car was always inteded to be drivin hard and fast... Honda civic.... intended to get you to the grocery store or work... think about it , and if you dont agree with me , thats too bad i guess, oh ya and another thing, maybe jimmy wanted to wake up to a slightly different lookin car... i know i wouldnt want my car to look the same forever.

Peace ,

I think it looks good,

on your car it fits PERFECT. Im seriously considering the 5.0 bumper now. did you ever get some side skirts to match the 5.0 and IMSA bumpers, that would complete the car.

I put a spoiler on my last rex... got it from www.spoilers.com they have them specifically designed for the rex. Anyways, after I put the wing on, it seemed to handle a lot better 70 mph + And yes, going around corners, it helped too!! Mine didn't seem to feel like it was sliding out as much. Could just be me, but I liked it better.

Dude, you and i suffer from the same problem. These hipocrites call our cars rice, but then we get mad props for it.

Anyways, that wing is perfect on your car. Take another pic like the one in your avatar of it. I need to see all angles of it.

And for Buddha's sake, do NOT paint the wing THE SAME COLOR AS YOUR CAR. It looks so recockulous.

Keep it just how it is. I was going to put one on my car, but i decided against a body kit. If you have one, you need the other, IMO. You'r body kit and wing go perfectly together.

If you paint the wing the same color as your car, the only silver thing is going to be your wheels. the wing compliments the wheels very well.

Try it out for a while, see if you like it.

BTW< what brand and model and price is that w/ing?

Rear wings look just silly on FWD cars, like they need to push even more!! Altough I'm not decided on whether I like your particular wing, JIMMY54, wings in general actually have a possible performance benifit for high speeds. Just remember that with wings come drag (unless its a spoiler/whale tail, then just sometimes), as well as downforce. Expect to take a fuel economy hit, especially highway.
