PCV Valve
Fram Part # FV333..
It's for an early model Chrysler.
Ben using it for about 8000 miles and not a drop of moisture in the tube or under the Cap.
I also incorporated a small Air/Water seperator in the line.
I emptied it about a month ago and there was maybe a Half Ounce of Water in it.
I think the reason that the FAQ Section under Lung Mustard recomends this particular PCV is that alot of them look the same but draw/alow a certain amout of Vacuum???? I Think.

well I thought i'd bring this back from the dead to add to it. With my ITB's and trying to hook up to my old location with a pvc valve I was getting a vaccum leak sort of speak and would throw things off. So i had to block them temperaly. So what does this have to do with anything you say, well having left the PVC valve on the iron only without any vaccum source has cleaned up pretty much most of it. I think that if I just Y it where i have the breather now it should completely take care of it because like this fresh air doesn't get inside the chamber but when it builds up pressure it just opens up the PVC valve and lets all the air needed out. Had it on like this for about 2 or 3 weeks now. The things you discover by accident i tell you.
I just wanted to throw it out there for a simplified thing or don't have a vaccum source to tap from.

Ya i know that can be done too ... but i don't like seeing a hole in the top of my oil cap. It still allows moisture to enter when its off and mess the oil up. Having the system more enclosed should make your oil last a little longer. Or atleast i would imagine.

Seems like I recall that older cars I have owned (70 Ford, 73 Plymouth) had the PCV plumbed to vacuum, and the breather inlet was part of the air cleaner. The charcoal canister was added to prevent fumes from venting to atmo when the engine was off.
The whole point is to prevent 1) accumulation of moisture and gasses within the crankcase (prevents lung butter, blowby, and corrosion), and 2) prevent venting of those fumes to the atmosphere (emissions concern).
