You southerners are SOOOOO lucky! I hate winter. But i also know some less reconized advantages of living in a climate like Minnesotas.
Such as, there are less ohbows walking the streets since its too cold to do it year round here. Flys and bugs are gone for about 6-7months, if its a dry winter, the roads remain dry and cold air is REALLY good for the turbo boost power. Losing traction in 1st, 2nd and a little in 3rd is fun with the dense air comes more power.
If it snows a lot, forget it, park the car, don't risk it rusting or driving and potentially hitting something. I say this only to those who have rust free '7's. If you have a lot, go for it and have fun. LSD in the snow is pretty fun, and predictable, because when you let off the gas on a spin, it usually stops turning also compared to a heavy rear drive full size car like a Caprise, etc. It does help to have meaty tires though if you do drive in snow & slush

Jeez Bob, I thought you were gonna say they yanked your mod status.
But salt, yeah buddy that's a bummer. I don't think they salt the roads here in Oregon, a little gravel on the mountain passes maybe. My 7 is a SoCal transplant, we'll see how long it remains rust-free up here. Moss is actually more of a problem here, it grows around your trim and anywhere it can get a toehold.
Glad you're still a Mod anyway.

Yeah, Bob! Geez - Luiz, had me worried. Thought they fired ur ***! Glad that ain't the case!
My rex is a total blast to drive in the winter. Love it. But, I'm not in the snow belt and the little bit of salt they use around here is easily rinsed off with the garden hose.
Here in West Texas, if you have a snow or ice storm - just wait an hour before you hit the road. All the peekup's will be in the ditch and you'll have the road to yourself
Didju know you can burn rubber on ice or in the snow? Don't believe me? Just watch a cowboy trying to get his peekup outta the ditch in the winter! "G'on, mash it to da floor, Billy Bob. We'll either get outta here or strike oil..."

It snowed enough here by my place to remind me that sumitomo htr 200's aren't made for snow, man do those things blow in the stuff, granted they are shot but still.. Guess I'll have to get winter tires this week. Oh and the audi, man changing that timing belt sucked major *** man, but oh well its done. Make sure you wash your car really good underneath before you store it. Sitting covered in salt is worse than driving in it all the time.

I'm gonna miss not really having any snow in Arizona. Coming from Minnesota, this is the exact opposite place to live.
Granted, I can drive less than 10 miles and play in the snow on the mountains, but something about sliding off a mountain gets me a little worried.

Wacky, nice try on trying to extoll the virtues of Minnesota life. No dice.
And by the way, the biggest freaking mosquitos I have ever seen were in MN.
I used to say there are only three seasons in MN, not four.....winter coming, winter, and winter leaving.
Love it or leave it!
I guess that's why I am in OK.

Yeap, mosquitos DO suck here. And there are plenty of them when it rains a lot in warm weather.
I don't want to live in OK though, it has barely any lakes, and VERY flat and treeless from the panhandle portion of that state I've gone through.
MN is the land of 10,000lakes, and I got to have either lakes or hills/mountains because I don't like flat and treeless at all.
I think we have 4seasons here, fall and spring are the best because they aren't hot usually or cold. Winter is too cold, but not for more then 3months, and saves on miles on the Rx-7's!
