ok i finished the painting of the trim. just a heads up, in some of the pics, it looks like when i took the tape off, it looks like i took paint off. but i didnt. its just the glue from the tape. so i can say, the final product looks better in person than in these photos. also my car needs a paint job. especially on the roof, and the big scrape on the hood. ON to the pictures!

the problem area:

problem area fixed:

here is the whole car prepped:

windsheild wiper before:

and wipers after:

drivers side:

passenger side:

and the whole shot:

for as much work that i put into prep. prolly about an hour or so over 2 days, it only took about 1 1/2 minutes to carefully rip off all the newspaper. lol. its like months dating a girl, waiting anxiously, trying to get into her pants for that 2 minutes of joy. i mean countless hours of joy. lol

also i was wondering if anyone here has deleted the drip panel? i bet with the drip panel removed, it will give that extra sexy look that no one can tell, until told.(try saying that 3 times fast. lol)

The trim is all stainless steel, it should not be rusting. If it is, look for where it's coming from, it's not the trim.

Ah, it's a Honda. Sand it smooth, use an etching primer, then paint with a single stage polyurethane.

Try your local autobody paint supplier. The etching primer can be had in a rattle can, the poly may need to be mixed and sprayed with a gun. The may, however, be able to put the poly in a rattle can for you, just pick the color and gloss that you want.
