ISC Racing Widebody kit

Does anyone here have the ISC Racing widebody kit? If you do, how well does it hold up to road debris (like rocks and the sort)? I've heard of FG widebody kits spiderwebbing when they get hit with small stones, and i'm wondering if the ISC kit does this. Thanks

Jim

I have not seen anyone here with the kit. You might ask in the race tech section, should be a few there. I haven't had any trouble with mine, few rock chips on the rear fenders, less than 3k miles so far.

I have that kit on my racecar. It stands up pretty well considering the abuse it gets on the race track, but I would think most light weight fiberglass body parts would have this same problem.

A lot of those cracks happen from rocks hitting the underside of the fenders, rather than the outside. You could cushion it, or build inner fenders so the rocks won't hit it.

The other option is to call Mike VanSteenberg at ISC Racing and tell him what you need. He may be able to make you thicker panels with more gel coat for street use. Since his material costs would be higher, he'd probably pass the extra expense to you, but I doubt that would be too significant.
