Interior panels/dash question

Are the interior panels and dash boards for1st gen RX-7s interchangable in any way? Say, could the dash from an '83 fit in place of an '85?

Yep. You just have to make it work. However, if you put the dash from an '83 into an '85, you will need all the assorted switches and (I am pretty sure) the gauge cluster too.

Read my thread on taking out your dash. It's lots of fun.

Those are the breakdowns for interchangeability for US models only.

BUt we all know the local mazda shops across the world barely know what a rotary is in the first place, we have had help with the release of the rx-8 in the past 2 years though
