Interior LED kits on eBay--any feedback?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33713

Anyone bought this kit? I'm wondering if he's just selling 4 LEDs with short leads for $25, or if there's some substance to the kit.

Thanks,

-dave

doubt that those pictures are showing LED lighting,

Even the largest of LED dont flood light like that. if you want a large glow like that, you need a Neon tube.

and only use Gold series Streetglow stuff, everything else is crap, including other streetglow stuff, like blue series or xenon or whatever that you can get at best buy.

buy streetglow from summitracing.com and save yourself some cash.

Thanks for the advice, but at $26+ per tube I think I'll pass. I'm thinking I'll look into making some sort of blue LED pods. After some research, I agree that there's no way 4 individual LEDs are producing the spread of light shown.

A selection of 5mm blue LEDs for sale at eLED.com:

A blue LED with a 30-degree (claimed) viewing angle:

$1.65 each. The eBay deal is almost certainly a ripoff, as is the SummitRacing 4-LED package I saw while looking for the neon.

As long as that list means you'll ignore my threads, we're golden.

Hi bkm,

See my response to the last jackass to stop by. I don't much give a crap about your opinion about "ricer" stuff. If I happen to like my interior lighting to be in the 470nm wavelength, that's my business. If you start a thread asking about how to have your large nose resized, I'll be sure to post my opinion on how guys with big noses are jackasses.

Regards,

-dave
