So i have a 1983 rx7 s model , and i just fixed the vacuum leak so i'm moving onto the looks of the car. The fake (black) leather/vinyl stuff at the top the doors is all cracked, and i have someone who can replace it but i need to know were to get the material or if i just need to look locally for something similar. And my seats are pretty bad too so should i order seat covers from black dragon auto?, find somewhere else? are there's any good or what?

Any fabric shop like Jo-Ann Fabric will have vinyl or even a think style fabric that will work. I've done this myself and it's not that hard. I just sewed new vinyl on.

Getting new seat covers will be cheaper then having a fabric shop recover them. If you get seat covers, go with the Racing Beat ones. There are a couple write-up on here of people that have done it. The hardest part is if the foam needs replaced.

 

You could look for door cards from a 84-85. They don't use that fake thin vinyl.
