intake question

Can't find a straight yes or no answer - do the holley intakes fit a nikki? I want to get rid of the stock intake but i like my nikki carb. what are my options?

I believe you'll need something like this adapter plate due to the base plates on the Nikki and the Holley manifold are different sizes.
I would think making one would be your best bet.

Picture does not represent actual part needed. Used as a reference only.

An adapter that goes from this to this.

Where can you find these adaptors?

I do not know. Maybe someone on here does.
That's why I said he would have to make one or have one made.

The bottom two pics are just gaskets that are comparable to the base plates on each of the carbs. Giving an idea as to the differences of the two carb bases.

can't believe u can't find a positive answer on a nikki fitting a holley intake. the answer is no. even tho u can redrill the mounting holes to bolt the carb on it, the holes of the carb throttle plate no where near matches the runner holes in the intake. it is possible to use some sort of adapter to make it work. how well it works is yet to be seen. as for where to find the adapters, bout all auto parts stores carry them.

ah, that answers that. what about different intakes for the Nikki, then? googling comes up with stock intakes and nikki carbs for other applications, like lawn mowers, lol

Nikki carb has a different bolt pattern, and butterfly spacing. You can't just bolt one to the other. A custom adapter plate has to be made and tapered over to make it work.

A Holley intake will gain you nothing of a stock intake with a nikki.

I think i would consider a early 70's mani with individual runners before making the swap to the Holley Mani. As long as you weren't running an open plenum spacer in conjuction with either mani's.
Although, i really like the idea of putting the nikki on the holley mani.

I'll have to look into that. this would be a rx2 / cosmo mani, would it not?

I'm working on doing any slight performance gains while retaining a majority of the stock parts. I'm just really fond of the nikki, I like the tune-ability is has.

+1 this set up would work way better IMO.

A friend of mine cut the Holley flange off and welded the Nikki flange to it. The car fell on its face. The intake plenum is too big for a Nikki is what he came up with.
