Intake manifold coolant leak Best fixes?

My intake manifold is leaking coolant. I have heard of several different ways to block the coolant flow off from the manifold. which works best? Some people suggest quaters other freeze plugs.
Thanks

Use freeze plugs. Coat them with silicone sealant and you will never have any problems.

Buy a new gasket and o rings. Buy a new manifold if yours is cracked or damaged. Don't Jerry rig it. Fix it the right way and you'll thank yourself.

In NC, you shouldn't have any need to preheat the manifold. Even in Michigan, I blocked mine with freeze plugs and never have a problem. It's really nice being able to pull the mani without spilling coolant all over the place.

You can buy 20mm freeze plugs at any local parts store. They cost me like 50 cents each (2 needed).

You wouldn't wanna send a couple sets of those my way would you Kets? All the parts stores in my area are out of stock, won't stock them regularly and want about $15 a piece.

I tried driving a plug into mine, and I've installed freeze plugs before, no problem. Me and two friends (both mechanics, on with a 500hp FD and the other with a 650hp supra) spent about 3 hours trying to get it to drive in. Something was seriously EFFED up about the hole.

I would up JB welding a quarter there. Not a drop since.

Just adding my data point. It was infuriating. To this day I have no idea what was up.

Jb weld breaks down and turns soft. I did it to mine and 6 months later swapped carbs. Coolant had seeped into the manifold and turned to brown goo. After i peeled the jb from the housings it was brown and goopy in there too. I let it cure for a couple days when i did it too. Put new gasket and o rings and never a problem since.
