intake on ebay

First of all: european GSL-SE does NOT EXCIST.
There never was a GSL-SE or any other 13B powered first gen in Europe, other then a conversion, or a USA GSL-SE that was imported later on, by private people, but never by Mazda.
The intake must be a FC N/A one, as far as I can judge. I have the same one in the trunk of my daily driver (626), so I think I can be trusted on this one ;-)
FC N/A in european specs had 6 port actuators completely different then US ones. Instead of sleeves, moved by "motors" operating on pressure from the exhaust, ours are butterflies, and are operated by vacuum, from the intake manifold. Also, early N/A's are non-cat overhere.
So the pic on that ebay-page is probable a modified euro FC intake (butterflies removed). The results of removing those are rather clear. You'll get better flow, but loose some torque in the lower rpm's.
Just thought it was good to know what parts that are, before you bid...

Powersteering never was an option overhere either.
The rest of th differences are: bigger gastank (smaller spare wheel/tyre), different stud pattern, bigger brakes, vents in the front valance (for the brakes) oil-water cooler, ...

rotary emissions: You don't have any pictures of that 6 port system from there do you? I have an early Mazda drawing showing this setup but I just thought it never made it into production. A butterfly system makes far too much sense to me. Better yet do you know anyone selling that setup to do a conversion?

The intake says "RE-Super Injection", and it has way less Emissions controls.

Yep, like that. And, again, those J-specs, or US-specs, are not official imports. I know several GSL-SE owners, but that doesn't mean they were ever sold new here, does it? The GSL-SE is actually a strickt US model, and the J-spec are different. Europeans had to get a car in the states, do a swap, or import a J-spec block.
I am in for the swap, BTW
