NC Increasing gas mileage?

just wondering a few things, i have an 82 stock 12a stock nikki with clutch fan delete no ac header back exhaust and k&n filter along with msd coils

I have a rebuilt nikki carb sitting here ready to go on, would there be any mods that i could do to this carb to maybe get 25-27mpg? i right now get 21 on avg

i have done a full tune up plugs wires etc

there is the normal tune up stuff, make sure everything is working right. synthetics in the drivetrain, and front wheel hubs.

make sure the brakes aren't dragging.

run skinny tires @ high pressure

Yeah I think J9 has the idea, just do a full tune up and it should be a little better. 1st gens were advertised for 21 mpg city anyway.
