Imagine a RX-7 in this color.
It's not a polished steel, it's not chrome, it's actually silver, plated I'm sure but still!! I can just imagine driving around in a silver plated rx7!!!
It's owned by the family of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the former president of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Abu-Dhabi.

thats not chrome its polished alum. quick facts about the car: Audi's A8 L (as-tested price: $74,320) appeared in all-new form for 2004, wrapping lightweight aluminum body panels around an aluminum space frame, a 330-horsepower V-8, and quattro all-wheel drive. the one in the pic I think is turboed or supercharged with horse power above 500.

Old picture, been on audizine forever. I think it would look good on an FD.
A great car if you don't mind eating the huge depreciation. Somehow I doubt Mr. Abu-Dabi is worried though.

funny, i saw a delorean with the same surface as that in tenn. back in 04s delorean convention @ pigeon forge. the guy just ground out the brushings and attacked it with a buffing wheel and some polish... looked DAMN nice, but it was covered w/ fingerprints.

That's nothing. I once gold-plated my bicycle frame then chrome plated over. the gold makes it impervious to moisture and corrosion, and the chrome over-plate, tho porous, is hard enough to protect against abrasion. And it produced an incredible chrome-gold color!
