What a dumbass, your stand adapter's are reasonably priced and look like good quality.
I assume your adapter has more back spacing than the $90 ones, My cousin bought one and the coolant tube coming from block is in the way, you can bolt the motor to it, but it's really too close for comfort, on top of that the damn thing didn't even come painted! For $90 you think they could at least spay paint it before shipping.

Tell him to take the motor apart on his stand.

i sent him an email asking for the picture of him standing on it and another of him removing the rear housing and the 18 bolts. also said I didnt appriciate being called a crack head and an idiot...

edit just recieved his responce

"Well first off, I am not going to stand on it, I will find someone to do it. And the bolts are able to be removed if need be. It can be assymbled on this stand as well, and there are only 15 bolts on the rear in the housing, 17 if you include the two on the outside of the housing. I have also used this engine stand to rebuild several vw bug engines(which are not supposed to fit on this stand either)with little effort. I work at a machine shop and could pump these out also, but then again I could buy a boat blower and sell it as a e-supercharger also, cheers. "

LOL, he ridicules you for selling what I assume he figures is just some cheap stuff that can be bought easily, then auctions 4 bolts?

4 BOLTS! $15+ $5 shipping? They're probably no more than $5 for all 4, and shipping could be done for like...$2. Yet his auction starts at $20.

It looks like exactly what it is, just a auction set up to ridicule you. Ignore it, everyone else appearantly already is.

Different motors have different #' of bolts I think, but they cannot be removed on that stand, and if they were loosened the rest of the motor would just drop to the floor(after pulled off dowels) defeating the purpose of the stand, what a **** off.

He's even more of an idiot if he even uses a stand to rebuild vw's, you just pick them up and put them on the table, they don't need to be rotated and such, plus you have to split the case which you can't do on the stand, so what's the point.

"The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale. "

Haha... what a wuss.. I was about to ask him a few questions

Anyways, I would rather have your stand over the bolts any day.... But you should include a note of cation, with every sell, to NOT stand on it and your not responsible for personal injurys caused if they fall off it..... heh...

I think one of the 4 bolts rolled under his bed, couldn't retrieve it, so in the spirit of only selling a quality product, he ended the auction.

who gets the last laugh

You guys have to be complete idiots to belive that you need this adapter. I have taken apart and rebuilt several of these engines on this stand, and VW engines just like my statment says. I took my auction off cause my point was proven to the person I wanted to prove it to. If you guys wanna waste your money on these brackets thats fine, I spend mine on go fast toys. I will be building these brackets and selling them now(mise well slotter the sheep if they follow right?) I mean a couple pieces of angle iron and a couple holes drilled in it c'mon. Well now I know whos buyin up all those boat blower superchargers. Also would you list some other auctions I have when you get a chance. HaHa

Wink VW on a table?

Also to the guy that builds his vw engines on a table, thats just crazy. The case does need to be split, but you have to have something to hold it in place while you are assymbling it on its side, the table stand works best for this(but it is not needed if you have a engine stand AND A COUPLE BOLTS AND NUTS). PS I will never go back to the VW power, never and you cant make me. haha

Alright now, watch the flaming, I WILL be watching.

Think4yourself, dude Ive rebuilt rotaries, and The setup you show in that pic is useless. Since you probably dont know Ill clue you in. These engines are disassembled from the REAR. In order to take that engine apart on your stand, youd pull the whole engine off the rear housing, leaving just the housing on the stand, and the rear rotor will probably fall out on the floor, making it junk, and seals falling all over the place. Kinda negates the reason for having a stand no?

If you want to make an adapter, it needs to be like Jeffs, bolted to the front housing.

haha, that guy is hillarious. I cant belive he wasted all that time just to make himself look like an idiot. Not only did he waste time and money to make his "stand adaptor" and list it on ebay, but he also took the time to search out this forum, sign up, and try and flame you. And the worst part is, the point he was trying to prove was WRONG.

what a loser.

I would like to see how you can take apart a Rotary engine using your stand. Am I missing something??

You obviously don't know **** about vw's either.
You lean one half on the head studs and slap it together I've seen it done a million times.
No rotating is required in the entire procedure.
I'm a rotary guy, but you must give vw's thier credit.
You can build very fast very cheap very somewhat reliable, (as much or more as a rotary).
And to put a rotary in a vw (car) you have to have a built transaxle with prices that start well over a grand.
They might last for off-road when you're not loading the hell out of the stock trans that was built for 60hp, 5k max, and half the rotating mass.

The coolest thing about a vw is the $4.00 gasket set that covers all engines. Too bad we aren't this fortunate, but it's the off-road market that keeps vw performance stuff cheap, dirt cheap compared to mazda.

Actually Formula Mazda race cars use a V(irtually) W(orthless) bug transaxle. And they have a 13B. Dunno what they might have done to beef it up though.
