I'm Such a Tard

So i was driving home on sat, after completing my store's inventory (long day) and i decide to blow the engine out. So i started to top it out. Coming up over a small hill, my detector went off and i saw the sherriff...... he clocked me at 94mph in a 55. i was doing 100 when i heard the detector. I'm screwed. He let me drive away (luckily) as i apoligized repeatedly and spouted off something about blowing the carbon out of the engine. he suggested i find another way to do so. anyways, whats everyone's highest ticket? (not that speeding is "cool" and i'm not trying to start a contest). i'm prepped for anything from $300-700 for a fine, and i know a lawyer that can clear the points off the ticket for around $200. got my reduction papers filed, if that'll help. wish me luck and tell me your stories so i don't feel like such a tard (or tell me if you think i am).

dont worry. im 18 with 3 tickets...two of them i went to drivin school one evening and got them erased and paid 15 a piece (god i love TN) and the other was $220 but it was some big time BS

the first one was at 16 and i almost fell asleep driving (thats never happened again, i can assure you i learned) 46 in a 30

the second was when i walked outside and my old truck had a flat so i had to take moms car and i was late for work/ not paying attention. 68 in a 55

and the last one....i was waiting for two car to pass before taking a right onto the main road. well, turns out they were both racing (integra and eclipse). the officer had jus got off the interstate and i was behind them (not even that close) well, he clocked them and pulled me over for it...stating that my truck got up to 68 mph in LESS THAN AN 1/8 MILE! (and that was 68 in a 45) so, i said ok...were fighting it. i pleaded my case in court, took a diagram, pictures, and a time slip from jackson dragway saying that my truck could only do 56 in 1/8 mile...let alone less. my dads friend dean, took his like 68(?) mercury cougar...could not accomplish what i "did." anyways, while i was showing everything, the judge was signing stuff, stamping stuff and promptly told me where i could pay the ticket. my dad was FUMING mad...it pissed me off soo bad.

since those three, ive paid more attention, even if im late for something, i go no more then 10, usually 5 mph over the limit.

i got one like that, been a year today. 100/35. he was a state trooper in an unmarked camero(sp) behind me but didn't notice what he was. i was running kinda late to work. once the van i was behind turned off, i went back to 2nd and nailed it, winding it up all the way to 4th. when i got to my turn i looked up in the rearview and saw this camero charging fast. just as i touched the brakes to slow for the turn, i saw the driver side headlight come on and at that instance i knew i was ***'d. the fine was $400. went to court hoping to get it reduced, explaining to the judge that my over 30 yr old car wouldn't run that fast. unfortunately i got a judge that was hard on speeders and drug possession. so instead of paying the fine, he gave me 30 days. ended up only doing 13 tho so i was out for father's day. so instead of costing $400, i ended up costing little over twice that for the time i lost from work. one year ago today, damn how time flys.

Blow the carbon out using 2nd, or even 1st gear. Redlining in 3rd and 4th using that as an excuse sounds a little weak....

well I have gotten some random stupid tickets but I have only gotten two speeding tickets one was 35 in a 20 paid the ticket honest mistake. Now the other ticket I had my car for about a week and I was on a back road in the country thought I would push my car a bit see what she could do. Welllll I was crusing at about 120-130 hitting this nice gental curve no problems out of the corner of my eye I saw the State trooper turn around in the road to come after me I just let off the gas and started to slow down after I came to a stop and waited for the officer 15 minuates latter. Well the office came up to the window and said do you know why I pulled ya over? I said well? He then goes you know how fast you were going back there? I said ohh about 80-85? he then chuckled. Well he then asked me if I knew what the speed limit was on that road. I said Ohhh 55 I think. he said yeap its 55. He took my info and stuff then went to his car for about 15-20 minuates. Then he comes up to the window and goes well sence both you and I know you were going way faster then 80 what I'm goign to do is give you a ticket for 79 in a 55 which makes it just under the misdameno ticket. Then he says now I never want to see you on this road again ever. I told him thanks and have a great day. Then he asked where he could get an rx7

Stupidest event wasn't with the RX7.

When I was 19 I had this 1978 Chevy El Camino SS. She was slightly modified and pretty quick. I was stationed at Ft. Hood TX and was dating a girl in Temple, approximately 25 miles away. After a very enjoyable evening I decided I had better hot foot it back to base for moring formation. I roared up US 190, swung over onto I-35 and punched the 400 small block.

I was winding the El Camino up to over 90 and was still accerating when I saw the red lights behind me. I of course pull over, resigned to my fate.

Out comes this cowboy hatted Bufort T Justice looking county deputy, complete with sunglasses (it was 5AM btw) swaggering up to the car.

First words out of his mouth were "Damn Son, what do you have under the hood of this thing?"

I pretty much told him what I had, essentially a 400sb with edlebrock intake, 600 cfm carb, oversized cam, few other things I can't remember (like the brand of headers).

He looked at me and said, "Well son, she can sure haul ***** can't she!"

My response was, 'yeah, maybe a little bit too good'.

Anyway he let me go but let me know not to be doing 90 through Temple Texas again. I made sure I remembered that.

I don't drive like that much anymore. Moral of the story, be polite, be repentant, watch where the hell you floor your car.

I've been stopped six times two written tickets, and a warning from a stater.

First was with my 70' f-100, had flashing blue lights on the front, about 8 in the night, he stopped and I happend to flip around an pass him on a coensiding intersection. He proceeded to tell me it was a felony to impersonate an emergency vehicle, told him, "no sir I didn't, sorry." Got off without that ticket but forgot about the seat belt and being my truck was 30 years old and not 32 I got the $5 ticket for that.

Second was with my 86' F-250 Had no seat-belt and lp was on the dash not on bumper; no ticket but was told to wear seat-belt and that its $65 for the plate too high.

third was with my 94' Jeep, basicly a BS ticket because the cop knew the vehicle as my moms, I was doing evasive manuvers to avoid a mini van that pulled out in front of me and all but accelerated, cop was in ntl guard with my mom and was a sexist basturd, said I was drag racing, he didn't notice that it was rush hour. Cost me $1000 for a lawyer but no loss of licence and 6mo in jail.

fourth, had green lights on the fron of the Jeep stater gave me a warning, Fifth, 84' Bronco II had no plates/registration/insurance; again just a warning,

Finally Sixth was with my current 93' F-150 (yes, I'm a ford person) had ,again, no plate on the front, again, just a warning.

Nothing with the 7, yet, but it's not on the road. Guess I'm jsut lucky.

72 in a 45 on my way to school when i was 16
72 in a 50 on my way to work 17
got a warning for doing 67 in a 45 in my 83 gsl, funny cause i could pass a cop on the same road doing the same speed in my 4wheel drive chevy and the cops wave at me.
70 something in a 45,exhibition of acceleration, improper muffler. not at the same time but all in my 83 when i lived in houston, i had to pay harris county almost $600 one time.
80 in a 70 in ft. worth driving my friends berreta
74 in a 50 driving my civic......late for work

i was being followed by a van in my crx on day so when i got close to my house i got on a real curvy road(i live in the middle of nowwhere btw) and punched it to lose the guy, got up to a little over 100 came around a corner and met a cop. he locks it down flips on the lights and almost slide into the ditch trying turn around, i let off of it and coasted into a church parking lot a mile down the road a minute and a half latter here he comes. he pulls upwalks up to my window (shaking and stuttering)and asks me why i was going so fast, i tell him what happened, he ask if i knew exactly how fast i was going because he didnt have a chance to clock me(i ofcourse said no). he checks my license, tells to slow down a little and to not give him a heart attack the next i see him.

the most recent was in my 85-se 80 in a 60

damn imagine how much i could have done to my cars without all those fines

No ticket, but I did some adjusting on my carb and wanted to see how it ran. As I'm rounding a slight bend at a good bit over 100mph a copper was on an exit doing paper work-- I was trying to make a turn to disapper but caught a red light and the cop saw me threw on the lights. He asked the usuall, do you know how fast you were going, I said no-- he paused and said "well, I didn't have my radar on but I know you were going much faster than (45-55--can't remember the limit)" and proceded to tell me next time find a track. My heart about exploided I was so damn nervous. And then still being flustered I locked my damn keys in my car and had to get local security to get 'em out.

You guys all have it easy ... once you get 3 tickets on a bicycle then come and talk. No word of a lie, i've already been pulled 5 times on my bicycle, 3 written tickets. Not going to go in a car

1st: Was riding my bike down in the middle lane of a 4 lane 60km/h street and eating a large pizza. Strike one, careless driving which should have been 360$ and 6 points off my license, but talked him down to 60$ cause I explained some sort of safety things.

2nd: Was riding on highway of 100km/h at 6am to get to school. Cop pulls me over, gives me a warning, grabs my bike sticks it in his trunk and give me a lift to school after that.

3rd: Riding at night time going against traffic, and playing "chicken" with cars. Cars were braking like crazy. Was supposed to be charged again for careless driving, but i convienced him that I was only trying to cross the street, so was only charged for not having a light, and not wearing reflective clothing.

4th: Crossing a redlight of a major 4/6 lanes intersection. And I was clocked at going about 60km/h. Car were honking horn, slamming on the brakes, one almost crashed. Got off with a warning only because I told him that my brakes wouldn't fuction properly (I loosened the brake wires before he checked them).

5th: Which is the most recent and the stupidest one of them all. Which is probably carma too. Coupole weeks ago i decided to adjust the bike gear because they were grinding a bit, take it out for a spin to see where it was grinding and if i need to adjust anything else, so here I am going forward and looking down, I saw a van moving forward in the same direction, so did care too much about it though it be gone by the time that i reach there, but no apperently buddy stop couple seconds after that, and all that i know after that i smashed in the back bumper, then ingoes my head through the glass. Run back home to get my dad to drive me to the hospital. I received 40 stitches on my face and a patch missing out of my forehead. Once again was supposed to be charged with careless driving, but i got it down to malfunctioning front brakes and no lights again.

And all of this is over about a year and a half. So I guess that prob makes me the biggest Tard in this forum. The only advise that i say to anyone on this forum, is that if you see me driving, don't think about doing any stunts infront of me cause i'll only top it off. LOL. Thats why they call me crazy.

110 in a 60, construction zone, no proof of insurance, no valid registration, less than legal limit tire tread, no license plate lights, broken tail light, changing lanes without signaling.

I-405 North at about 2AM on the way home from my Dads, and late getting home. Crested a hill floored in 4th and saw a state patrol on the side of the highway right about Totem Lake. I passed him, he started to pull out, I pulled over (without signaling, thats where that come from). He didnt even have to turn his lights on, it was a little obvious he was heading for me. He walked up the car with the radar unit in his hand turned around facing me and said "Can you read this!?". I said, "no officer, did I do something wrong?". Haha, not really. It said 111 or something like that. I dont even remember how much it all added up to, I remember he only wrote me for 95 in a 60 and no insurance on one ticket, then the fauly equipment tickets seperate. That was a rough night. He actually let me drive home because as he was getting ready to radio dispatch for transport and the tow truck, he got a call for a house fire and needed to go (talk about your luck - good for me, bad for them). So, he took me outta his car, took the cuffs off, gave me my stuff back, and let me go, lol. I went to court and deferred the ticket. Meaning if you dont get another ticket in a year, it goes away. If you do, you pay BOTH tickets, no arguments. You can only do this once in a certain year time period though. Anyway, I lucked out and got it off the record, but I still have the copies of the tickets that hang on my wall, lol.

Some friends and I were going camping. Thankfully I was not the driver at the time. He was doing 140 (km/h, this is in Canada. That's like 85 miles/h.) We're on a highway with a limit of 100.

After getting pulled over the officer says "didn't you see me at that stop sign back there?" Answer "there was a stop sign?"

So he asks how fast we were going. The driver says "about 120". The officer says "I think you're being pretty liberal with that estimate."

It turns out we were driving by a small town. ie a couple dozen buildings near the highway. The speed limit drops to 50 because it's considered a residential zone. 140 in a 50 zone doesn't look good. In fact at 50 over they are supposed to take your license away on the spot.

Anyway the officer comes back and says that it's a good thing the driver didn't admitted to going 70 over. He got a ticket for going 40 over and I'm not sure how many points on his license.

Then the next morning we were banned from the provincial parks for 72 hours by a park ranger due to complaints about noise. What happened is some other young people came by and started showing off their stero. They left after a while but we were there in the morning when the ranger came by.

Red face Whats a ticket?

Wow I am one lucky SOB I always see them after I come back down to speed and the funniest thing is that sometimes I don’t even know that someone in a other car like this guy in a Vette blows by me so much that my car dose the little shake thing after I already slowed down and seen the cop sitting around the corner in So Cal. Hahaha! I didn’t even know The Vette was trying to ketch up to me….Oops!! Well one Day I will get mine and off to jail I will go.

Lol i think that you might be right,

but you want to know what the saddest part of it all, just as i was writting stuff yesterday here, my bike gets punked. Now how sad is that. I'm not sure if he's making me a favor or is looking for the worst. Good thing it wasn't one of my good bike. My good bike is worth by far alot more than my RX-7 and prob more than half of them that are out there. My good bike cost me about 9g's all made of titanium and carbon fiber parts, even down to the last screw and washer!! And if you guys are having problems adjusting your 5 gear ratios on a car, I've got 21 to worry about. I think that i'm hijacking this thread lol
