I'm new to the whole rotary engine.

I recently just purchased a 1984 RX7 GS. Dont get me wrong I have always wanted a rx7, considering a buddy of mine has a 1986 RX7 with the 13BRE swap. But anyways, This car has been kinda pushed before I bought it and I dont want it to blow on me, so is there anything any of you would recomend to replace? I just replaced the Oil Pan because the seal was leaking....but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Change the fuel filter right now. Only 3 bucks, but one of the first items to require attention. Get some good Castrol 20/50 in there, and run a can of SeaFoam through the gas tank. After the tune up is complete, rev the hell out of her to clean out the apex seals. Rotaries love to be beaten, if you drive it like an old lady, then you will have more issues. Hit that redline a few times a day, and she might just live forever. Also, take good care of the cooling system, DON'T EVER OVERHEAT YOUR MOTOR!
