I'm baaaaaccckkkk....

Yea.. so I'm addicted to this forum and these cars, I guess... for those of you who don't remember me, back in the winter my old man took my car out for a spin and came back with a blown apex seal.. Since then I've been driving an '86 Civic Si that can do everything as good or better than my 7 can.. but it's just not much fun or good looking... Anyways, I've finally had some free time that I could swap an engine from one of my parts cars into it and get it back on the road, and while I was pulling the dead engine I realized why I love these cars.. there's so friggin' simple it's not funny! Basically, by myself I removed the entire engine and transmission in under 6 hours... at least now I finally get to follow Pratch and Rx7carl's rats nest removal guide and I'm hoping to score a header for it at Carlisle this weekend.. Anyways, just wanted to say hi to everyone again and quite denying how much I love the 7.. LOL

Welcome back.

Hell.. I consider myself the luckiest guy in the world to have ended up with one of these as my "learning" car. That's learning mechanics, not learning to drive. I'm restoring an 84GS. Last summer, I barely knew a damn thing about cars... Now I'm swapping carbs and changing bolt-ons.

Gotta love anyone who comes back to these wonderful cars *arm around shoulders* welcome back brother :P

LOL Smart ***... actually the '86 and '87 Civic Si's ARE rare.. and like I said, it's just as fast stock, handles better stock, gets TWICE the gas milage... just not as much fun.. speaking of.. anyone know where to find an aftermarket cam for this thing? I've been looking but there doesn't seem to be much for this engine and I've gotta pull the head on it anyways.. oh well..

Yeah, those old Civics were fun because they only wiegh like 1700lbs . Geez, you could put a briggs and stratton in something that small and still have fun. But I hate front wheel drive, no matter how fast the car may be.
