Ignition Idea...
Firstly, a little backround...
Well, as you may know, I (somewhat) recently managed to destroy my car, and am in the planning stages of a new car/build-up.
My car was (and will be) a GSL-SE.
It will have a ported out 13B 6-port, and I'm going to be running a Wolf3D for engine management.
Custom exhaust, (see: https://www.rx7club.com/rotary-car-performance-77/pre-silencers-466741/), CAI
The longer term plans for the car call for a supecharger setup.
Now, the next thing on my list is ignition, and I've had a few ideas.
On my old car I had orignally tried an MSD setup, (with Accell Superstock coils), but was less than impressed. I also tried the 2GDFIS (no transistor trick) and felt it worked at leas as well as the MSD.
This time I want to do somthing a little different.
I've been thinking about a Coil-On-Plug setup...
Basically, I figure on using the Wolf to trigger an ignition amplifier... Say an MSD or Jacobs, which would power the coils.
For starters, I'm planning on grabbing some coils from a junkyard, but long term, I've found two aftermarket coils...

Now, why do this...?
1.) Cleans up the engine bay
2.) Eliminates the power loss and other problems of plug wires
3.) I like to be different...
Problems
1.) Kinda limits coil options right now

Well, for starters I'm going to see if I can grab some stock ford or gm coils next time I'm in the junkyard.
Depending on how things go, I'll upgrade to the splitfire setup later... They have Miata kits for 1.6 and 1.8L... (they also have a Nissan 2.0L kit)
