well i have great new it was the onlything i hadnt tryed

i figured how this was doin the 180 i manged to get it right i put the distrib in like normal everything on its mark rotated the engine once rest the distrib so now when i ever line the pullys up the distrib mark is corect duno if it helped or not but was the first thing i did
then i got all my igniters the mitzi one tested with resistance metter and put highst to lowest i tryed my lowest one but could get readings vise versa and when i tryed gave no spark so that one was off to the trash then i tryed the nxt one which was 1500 reistance
and walla spark so i hooked everything up except i left all trailing disconected for simplicety
and duh duh duh she was goin almost broke into tears lol
so then i caryed on setin up hook trailing up with the other 1600 igiter
get the idel down play with the mixtures get timming right the went for a drive awsome im soo happy

any one who has a carter does yours pulsate?is that normal im afaid its no good doin that or maybe it needs more power or i need to change my regulater spring

and also i noticed when i got the car goin and took the distrib out after it had been runnin a while the gear was covered in a yelow milk shake lookin colour heres a pic
i checked the dipstick and it seemed alrite should i do another oil change?

i hope this helps you zduford and all the best i think iv sheard most of the info that iv tryed maybe later ill try the gm igniter again for leading and see what happens and maybe update

i just had to get this out im gonna go for another drive yayaya
almost dieing from my exsaughts leaks lol

So let me get this straight.... You set the dizzy and the pully at base timing. Then you Rotated the pully one revolution. Pulled the dizzy out, and rotated the engine again, and put it back in?

i honestly dont know why i posted that paragraph ya have to rotate the pully two rotations to get a full rotation of the dizzy i think not positive

so what was happen was when i was pullin the dizzy with the pully set at leading i was allways fidin my dizzy set at 180 from what i had it at and was confused but if im correct its 2pully rotations - a dizzy or the other way round not trust me on that one

but any way to answer ya question
i set the dizzy and the pully at base timing. Then i Rotated the pully one revolution. Pulled the dizzy out, and rotated the dizzy back to its mark and put it back in

honestly this shouldnt be the reason why i got it goin i think it was the igniter set i had but i still dont know

hmm hopefully i didnt confuse ya more lol
