Ideal replacement for the Gen 1?
As my Gen 1 is approaching her 25th birthday I thought of just using her on the odd weekend, and buying something else as a daily driver..
Obviously she will be difficult to replace. One that might be just as interesting is the Pagani Zonda F roadster or coupe. If you have not seen the car go to [url www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/112_0601_2005_pagani_zonda_f/specs_pricing.html which is the road test or www.eurocarblog.com/post/212/pagani-zonda-f-roadster Several other sites have good photos and details of the Pagani cars and are worth searching for if you are looking for something to beat a Honda Civic..
I could possibly save up until its available here.
What do you think?

Matty, thanks for the link. not sure why they failed to come up in my post.
The advantage of the Civic is the backseats for the dog.

Yeah, my vote would go for a Miata. Don't knock one until you've driven one... I'm getting tired of being beat by those little ***** on the Autocross tracks. Old farts who look like they're half asleep can turn in better times than me, and my times aren't all that shabby either! I refuse to drive one though, because I'm afraid that it will have a negative effect on my feelings for my 7...

love the braaaap
The Pagani is a very nice car, one of my favorites actually. Its right up there with my all time favorite cars. Nice sleek design without being too smooth. More industrial looking than most, and thats what I love about it. Being supercar fast is just a plus.

Yeah exactly. I was surprised at the 2005 hangover run in Cali, which has very curvy roads. There were mainly Miatas, with some 7s. I had a Miata in my back and one ahead of me, and I was having a rough time keeping up with them in the turns!

At 500K I dont think that car is in the same class as the 1st gen, But with a couple of mods and some time I think it could be almost as good as a 1st gen

I like the miatas, but i would have to say they dont handle like the 7. I drive the hell out of my SA and it keeps taking it. Someone with no experiance at all can drive a 7 with not much trouble... they are just so forgiving in the turns. When i drive a miata they will slip up and get a out of control too easy... Well thats what the mail-box says.

I owned a '03 Club Sport Miata 6spd with a BRP MP62 Supercharger kit and air to air intercooler. The car performed great, I was really impressed with it's overall performance. The car I purchased to replace it was the STi and I'm still not sure that was the best decision.
