no!!!! im totally against rice you noob.... go take your crap out to the lounge unless you want to help and give information rather then opions..if i wanted to be rice and bounce of my rev limiter for fun wouldnt you think i would get my mommy and daddy to buy me a honda already modded taking all the credit with a rev limiter already installed rather then putting my hard earned money buying the parts and getting my hands dirty installing it the parts??
whats wrong with wanting to protect your engine rather then kill it by over revving it...i only say this because i on inncident over revved my car way further then i was comfortable with.

Really? I cant feel mine. Im running MSD-6AL without the pilll and RX-3 with 6A. I have no problem hitting high #'s but again, its only for a split second and gladly no mis-shift (knock on wood) .

well, unplug the buzzer, and replace it with a 12v relay. Use one with 2 switched contacts (DPDT) and wire the positive feeds to the coils through the relay - it may be beter to extend teh wires from the rev counter, and place the relay as close as possible to the coils, to reduce interferance issues (if any!)
Now this means, instead of your buzzer going off when you go over the "reccomended limit", you simply wont be able to rev your engine any higher, because your rev-counter will simply cut the power to your ignition! If you want to raise/lower the rpm limit, there's a small potentiometer you can adjust. Just make sure it's the one on the same side as the buzzer connection, as the other one is used to calibrate the tacho output to suit the input frequency - it also means you can use an RX7 tacho, on something like a jag V12 engine, or a 2-stroke moped, if you wanted

Noob, haha, thats funny. My car is older than you. Just kidding, but seriously I think the flame got a little close on that one. Don't always asume that constructive critsism should be taken lightly. What alot of us are trying to say is, save your money for the rev limiter and try to work on the driving skills. About all of us have missed a gaer or two and redlined the engine. Makes you be a little more carefull next time. You asked for advice? Don't waste your money on the MSD unless you want to use up your engine bay trying to stuff all that mess in there. Go ahead and flame all you want you MSD lovers!!!!!

Streetport + aluminum flywheel + 4.625 gears its very very easy to redline. Now at the auto-x I just bounce off the rev limiter, fewer worries.
