Tennis, anyone
If you like berns car DF, you should have seen it in person at seven stock. it's all that !... Excuse me here,,
but are you telling us you raced a rx8 on the street ??
No not you DF......lol thats unlawfull.....lol but i guess
it would help being a........... and knowing all of the .......... Alex, have you driven an rx8 yet?? if not go down to your local mazda dealer and drive one. they let anyboby drive 'em . there not that fast, but the power is smooth all the way.. it's the brakes that got my interest the most.. your car would eat an rx8 easy. and when you get the EFI working and tuned i would say go after a viper, that would be a good race IMO.

Damn jimmy. so whats wrong with old school ? theres not too many kits out there that look okay, and the ones that do look good are to far away for shipping. plus design energy (mariah) there products are made very, very well. well worth the money. i agree i like the pacific kits wide body, because it's not that wide.I also agree it would be a shame to hack up such a clean -SE
IMO.
IMO.

I am going for a Retro/Modern Look on the car. It will be an old school widebody, with modern 17" rims. It will also have a very modern interior.
I do wish it had the "instant" throttle response of EFI, but it's still good. I might be dyno-ing it in January, just to see where she stands.

oh it can and it did....not enough faith in our first gens! Oh the over-praised rx-8, sweet looking ride...in fact i'd buy one on looks alone if i didn't know about it's power flaw. I'm with 81rx6port13b I would love to see 'em with a turbo.

THe 8s are good!
Guys,
Having tracked tested the RX-8, I can say it's a great car. Sure in the street-light battle it might not be all that impressive, but put one in the twisties or on the road course and this car comes alive. The chassis and brakes are outstanding, better than an FD I would say, and if driven well, they can keep up with E-46 M3s on the road course. The FD with a good driver will ultimatley still be quicker on a road course, but the 8 can more than hold it's own. Even most, but the best tuned, FB turbo's would have trouble with a "well driven" RX-8 on a circuit. These are wonderful cars, just waiting for a few more ponies... then watch out.. can you say 300hp MazdaSpeed RX-8
btw, you guys will have to check out our upcoming RotaryNews.Com Project RX-8 story.
-Cheers,
Bern

I would suggest the same to all Rotorheads, go drive an RX-8.. you'll be surprised.
btw, I like the "old skool" wide body kit look. Both the Mariah and Pacific are good looking. Shoot I remember actually going to Pacific Auto-Accessories, to buy my first body-kit and moonroof years ago... DF I think you'll like the results with the wide-body and fat 17"s. I have friend who has had a set-up like this on FB for years.. wide-body with fat 17" Racing Hart Type-C wheels.. beautiful! I can't find a pic though...

Airflow is my life
Haha, Zero Banger is offended!
I dont streetrace 680, but I imaging the thrill isint quite the same as opening up the car at the drop of the green flag. Before it drops your mind is racing faster than the pace lap speed, your heart is beating like mad, your thinking what your gonna do when it drops. Your cruising along at a leisurely pace, your nervous and your gut is telling you wtf are we doing here? this is crazy! Stop this car and get out! But you put those thoughts aside, straining to see the little flash of green, hell not even that, just some movement from the starters arm.
Then the flag drops
All those butterflies and thoughts are gone in a flash. Its an all out battle for survival. It has begun.
There you are, in the middle of a pack of 54 cars, all winding up at the same time, kicking up dust, and screaming like a million angry hornets. You cant hear a thing other than the roar of all the engines as they come to life. Accelerating for all your worth, looking for a spot to get ahead. Then a sea of red lights as everyone brakes and dives into the first turn. You wait as long as possible, forcing your foot to stay off the brakes. Not yet, not yet.........NOW. you see a hole and go for it, diving under other cars, then give it all the brakes you dare, holding her down on the bottom. Your off the brakes, now accelerating, keeping it down cause theres a line of cars on the outside, keeping pace with them, with the car near the verge of sliding up into them. Gotta keep up, cant lose ground you just fought for..........................
I could go on, but you get the idea.
