I need questions answered

OK first off, I would like pics or a detailed explanation of where these things are/how to do.

1. How do you unhook the oil pressure sensor wire? The one that is plugged in under the oil cooler (beehive). Do you pull straight off? I dont want to break it because I have never seen a plug like that. I know that this is my problem because if I wiggle it around, it will work for a bit then stop working. I believe it just needs cleaned as oil, dirt, etc. get on there pretty easily I would imagine.

2. WHERE is the actual coolant temperature sensor? Also, where is the relay or whatever for the coolant temp gauge? I am assuming this is for the gauge itself.

3. My headlights go up, but not down. This has been discussed before. Where exactly is the relay at? Is it connected to the headlight motor assembly, or somewhere else?

Now for a little background info on the car.

83 GS, I have owned this car twice now. Owned it before, gave it to my friend for a parts car, he took a few misc things off. Then it sat in a field for about.... 5 years. While it was in field, was home for multiple mice, and at least one rabbit (lived where battery goes). I got it back for free, and did an engine swap. Basically fixed any/all engine problems. All the previously mentioned 3 things worked before. Also the fuel gauge does not work but is least of my concerns right now. I figure, if it runs out of gas, it doesnt hurt it. If I dont know that it is running hot, then obviously (duh) it is being hurt.

Also, engine/tranny I put in is from 85 GS. Has RB SP, full RB SP exhaust (minus muffler), street/strip clutch, power pulse intake, and is from Germany. Apparently was built in Bittburg by Rotorwerks (sp), using Racing Beat template, and RB parts.

I know this seems off topic, but I would also like to know if the european trannies have a slightly longer 5th gear. I have been told by previous owner it does, but I need to know for sure. I am also not positive on how to find this information so I turn to you.

Thanks if you can help me any (hopefully you can).

Um there is a book called a Hayns manual that is exactly what you are looking for...

Other wise here is a link to the '85 Field Service Manual...
