i need to make less carbon monoxide .
specifically when driving. Im getting a score of 1.89(ppm?) when i need to be putting out 1.77 or less. running the engine leaner doesnt seem to change anything.
what do i do? do the cats need more air? im missing my rear air tube, so perhaps i should bypass the acv?

Move to Quebec! Lol.... I know, that's not an option, just kidding ya.
If you're talking about the air tube that goes to the cat further back, I'd try and get a replacement for that... The cats *need* fresh air to do their job finishing the combustion process... so if one of your cats is supposed to be getting air and can't, then it would definitely be bringing up your CO levels. Unless you have a huge chunk of coin to spend on newer two-stage cats that don't need fresh air, try to get the system working as well as it can...
Run the cleanest low octane fuel you can get your hands on (I don't know if you have McEwens or something like that out there, but where I am there's a gas station that sells a fuel based on some form of natural refinement form corn or something that's supposed to do a huge job eliminating emissions)....
Don't forget to replace your oil (which I'm sure you've done) and make sure your air filter is clean/new. Other than that, you'll have to look to members of the forum who actually have to deal with e-tests! Living in Quebec I haven't had to prepare for one b4, this is just what I picked up by reading.
