The Mother's/MeGuier's polish has a wax base. That's why the clear coat fish eyed. A good rub with Prep-Sol and automotive paint paper towels will usually remove the wax base. Polishing wheels is a lot of work. I've learned the hard way to not let them get bad enough that they have to be sanded. Good job on the wheels.

Damn, that's pricey. That is the benefit I have of living out in the country. The guy that powder coated my wheels is a 2.5 hour drive away but it was cheap. Very worth the price and drive.
