i HAVE A REALLY STUPID QUESTION!
i'm purchasing a 1982 rx-7. I was wondering what sizes of motors were used that year. Did all rx-7's use rotarty engines? Anyone know where I can find more information on the 1982.
Thanks
Thanks

HOLY CRAP, is that STUPID!
...I'm just kiddin' wit'cha, man! There are absolutely NOOOO stupid questions, and anyone who says there are is a complete *******!
The Mazda Rx-7 came with a "12A" engine from 1979 to 1985,; with athe larger "13B" engine offered on the superdupereverything model in 1984-85. The "2nd generation" rx7s all had 13Bs.
The 12A has two rotors, each with a displacement of 35 cubic inches, and were rated at 104-105 HP, doing the quarter mile in 17.6 -19.something seconds - depending on who you spoke to at the time.
All the info you need to start off with on your new Rx-7 can be found at a really great site by "Felix Miata". Unfortunately, a virus wiped out my bookmarks, so I don't have the addy, but someone here will.
Have a shitload of fun!
