Hey,
You're going to have to be a little more specific on what it is and isn't doing... I'm restoring a 1984 GS ( the 12a carbureted model of the same car), that has been sitting for 4 years and I can probably help a bit... though fuel injection isn't my strongest point many people here can help.
From what I read of your post, it seems your starter turns the engine, but doesn't start... so it turns and turns but does nothing.
You said you checked the spark plugs. If you haven't changed them, they *could* be your problem even if you're getting a *little* spark it might not be enough... but it's more likely that the fuel isnt' getting into the engine compartment...
You said you have fuel, do you mean in the tank? getting to the engine compartment? where do you have fuel.
My call:
Change the fuel filter first. It's 4 dollars, and 5 mins of work, and it's worth it for the problems it causes. Then check if the fuel is getting from the tank to the engine compartment by finding a fuel hose and disconnecting it, putting it into a container, and cranking a bit.
If you're getting fuel to the engine, check your fuel injectors and related components. If not, check the fuel pump.
Oh.... and the gas you have in there if it's been sitting a while probably sucks.... So drain it out and replace. Some tanks have drain plugs, but if you're not that lucky (and you're fuel pump is working) then you'll have to drain it through the lines. Just disconnect the line before the fuel filter, put a bucket underneath, and crank as long as it takes to empty it... Yeah, I know it's bad for the engine, so disconnect your starter while you do it. Careful though, the fuel pump runs off the starter circuit via a small wire that connects to one of the bolts on the starter solonoid. take it off the starter solonoid and connect it to the positive lead. That *should* work to allow you to turn it w/o a starter and still pump fuel out.
Old fuel is like varnish.. engines don't run well on varnish.
And of course, if you're restoring, you realize some things need to be replaced. Here's a small list to start with before you go doing too too much:
1. Spark Plugs, Wires, and rotor
2. Fuel Filter
3. Oil and Filter (you wouldn't believe how much easier it makes your engine run)
4. Air filter
5. Tranny fluid and filter
6. Differential fluid
and make sure those brakes work but you can wait until after the engine's running for that.
If you need any more help, post here or e-mail me vipernicus42@hotmail.com
Hope it helps
Jon
PS: Sorry for the novel everybody, it's just the way I am :P

Pele, I saw that thread when you posted it - genius! I rated it, and I think even suggested that if the mods hadn't yet archived it, that they should! And I have an archived copy on my computer as well.
Novel or not, it was an awesome one. It should be stickied :P

Then we get others (Cause I'm not writing too many HOT-TO's) to write troubleshooting tips for those... Once those are solved, then it's all running problems, and more HOW-TO's are written and eventually all problems are solved by reading... Pretty soon, technical support becomes obsolete, and we all just kinda hang out and socialize...
Or not. Technical support is cool, but answering the same question 8 times a week isn't cool.

Yeah, shutup kid.
If it is flooded, here's the easiest way to unflood a -SE. Just unplug the small clips that go to the ignition coils, one on each coil. Then go crank the engine for 10sec. Plug the 2 little clips back in and start it up.
If it's flooded REALLY bad and has been sitting like that for a while then you might need to put some MMO in the engine. A little harder to do. Unplug the top 2 plugs and dump some MMO into both of the holes. The easiest way I've found to do it is use a funnel and put a small rubber hose onto the funnel and stick the other end in the hole. Put the plugs back in and try to start it.

I use a 98 Cent turkey baster from Wal*Mart...
It's also good for getting extra brake fluid outta reserviors and **** like that.
