I am so pissed off at the Audi forum right now

Long story short, I ask a simple question. The kind of question I know would be answered ten times over on this board. Checked back a day later, and nobody had even bothered. They were all too busy discussing chips and 18" wheels and fog lights and ground effects. I swear I miss having an RX-7. At least before if I had a problem I could count on some knowledgeable help.
/end rant

oh, are you getting power to the plug? usually a seat heater works with a switch, not when you turn the heat on. is ther ea switch and does the connector plug into the seat? also, on some models, only the driver's seat was heated.

Yes, there is a switch on the dashboard. And both seats are heated. I would check the plug for a connnection, but I'm not sure what it's for yet

do you have a service manual? look at the drivers seat and compare connectors and connections. check the plug to see if it has power. if not, perhaps if it is the connector fot the power seats, a relay or a small atx fuse has blown for that particular seat.

I have quit using/reading the Audi forums for that reason. They just suck now.

I'm doubting that wire is a problem with your heated seat. It very likely could be for the car phone. I'd check the other seat for a similar connection though just to be sure.
