**** man, no offence but the shop I work at has a name for that, it's cald Hack Job. If you dont have the resources, i understand. but to make a nice bracket set all ya need is a little metal flat bar and a drill, plus a hammer to bend it all.... I guess if thats the way your car is though.... do you use garden hose as coolent line and a sock as a gas cap? Just kidding props to your inginuity!

So,are you saying it looks like I built it in my backyard?
Your opinion is your opinion, and you're entitled to it.

Wow, someone is being a little jealous of the setup? Dont mind it Alex, I think it looks good, of course I used the flat metal bar, a drill and a BFH... I think yours looks better
Everyone laughed at my IC piping but the ******* work pretty good, good enough to waste some cars with v8's
Its fun letting them leave the line a little early, and then I punch it in 2nd and go to 3rd and get sideways LOL
1st gear in my car is useless anyways Its like gas, bam 35 mph and its way into the redline

It is my opinion that a level of quality should be upheld, no matter where you mod at or with what. I know guys who fab everything in their garages at home and have nicer looking cars/engine compartments than guys who spend big $$ for Shops to do their work. And as far as time slips, etc, I have a bone stock RX. Also- newbies have a right to talk **** just like the old timers do -I wasn't trying to offend anyone.

i have never done anything to my RX, that is true, however I have done far too many custom jobs on high doller cars to list - Vipers, BMW M5's, Porsches, Lotus, and even the occasional ferrari are just a few. Here is one car I did most of the work on -
http://www.uidaho.edu/~jepp8923/S2000page.html So
no, I don't have a modded RX-7, but I do have enough background knowdge about what it takes to judge a car owners craftsmanship.

The s-2000 Just one of many cars I have worked on, I posted it to show what quality work looks like - what do you consider a mod then? Hows about a viper motor in a dakota pickup? Of building 600 hp street rods from the chasis up? Or a 10 second drag civic? Cause I have done them all.

Just so you know, i'm currently collaborating with Directfreak, Mike-p28, RICE racing, and Rob Golden of pineapple racing, preparing for a turbo setup on my car.
I have been casually researching rotary performance for about a year now, just by gathering info and knowledge from both internet and rotary shops.
One thing i have learned is, if someone has a very powerful car, and made it themselves, they know where its at. These guys all have very VERY powerful cars. Dream cars, super cars!!! I trust every word they say.
You wanna know how much hack jobs i have in my car?
So long as it gets the job done, and gets it done reliably, then who cares?
For instance, my hack jobs: putting 6x9 speakers in the rear stock location, 5.25" speakers up front, silver guage faces (mounted the control switch into the dash w/ a hack job), hack jobbed center console, hack jobbed tail lights, and my future hack jobs include:
Turbo exhaust mani,
IC pipng, front mount IC
Haltech ECU
You know what, my main source of info is Directfreak. He's helping me out. I trust his word 100%. He knows his ****.
