How much would you pay for...

Just our of curiosity, I might be selling my 1983 RX-7 GSL here real soon. Its white with brown/burgudy interior. The interior is really nice, and the body is straight. All the glass is good, and it has a glass moon roof. It does however, need an engine. There is an engine in it, but it seems to be frozen up. I tried ATF and MMO. It saoked for at least a week, but to no avail. I think there is some internal engine damnage. The transmission status is unknown to me, as I have never used it. Im sure its at least fairly good, it goes into all the gears an I can trun it by hand with no grinding or odd noises. It has the driveline for it, and there are only 80K miles on the odometer. The radiator is not in the car, but it does have an electric fan conversion. So, how much might you pay for it? About $1000 because its in good shape at least?

Yeah, I was afraid youd say someting like that, I was just hoping that since its a rotary community that someone would see the "true" value in the car, I dont have enogh money to buy an engine and get it on the road, so i just feel like giving up, its pointless...

Normally, I would say don't give up. But if you already have two other running 7's.. It's overkill.

Good luck, and post some good pics.

Also, can you post a few pics of your "B" pillar speakers?
How's the sound from that location?

Well, I dont have the digi this weekend, left it at home. Also, im not audiophile, but it sounds better there than in the far back. Since the seats arent in the way as much and the sound doesnt have to go as far, it sounds A LOT more balanced. I dont know who put them there or whatever, cause they were there when we bought the car. The job was done so well I thought that it came like that stock. If i remember, I'll try and get some pics for you later.

THANK YOU!! I was starting to think I was the only moneyless loser here (no offense to anyone) . I feel better now. And he is correct. If I rebuild it and it doesnt work, then I have no money after I buy all new gaskets...I have no job right now, so I need to try and make a good decision...

hey, you keep plugging, your are working hard on your dream ( the "7")..don't get discouraged...I had no money at one time too, I think we were all there at one time or another, just in different degrees. as for your car, if you have no money right now to get a new or used engine, hold onto it if you can. wait...and keep looking out for your options (ie: used motor, rebuilt etc..) I have a parts car myself her in NC...it has the engine in it and if you were close by, I 'd give it to you for 100.00 ..it has 167,000 mikes but it worked...anyway....you may find some one who has a motor and will sell cheap..anyway...you have options.....list your options , keep an eye out and be patient...one of your options will show up..a car with that low miles is a keeper if the only thing bad is the engine,,,good luck........cjf
