How much HP or torque can a 84-85 rear end take?

Seems like every one of the turbo guys that have over 350hp seem to be running some other rear out of some american car.

so rusty.... i would love to know exactly how much, but se's should last a good while without any repeated drag launches

I made 280.1 rwhp in my 85 GSL turbo. Have been daily driving since april and went to the track once and did 5 passes on street tire with 2.2-2.3 60 ft times. My rear end is still there. The vid is actually in this section.
