how interested would you be in a short throw shifter?
it is possible that i can begin poducing short throw shifters. i was curious how many people would be interested in one, they would be around 75-100 dollars. we are now in the process of buildinga prototype, if it orks, and ther is a demand, then chances are they will be produced. so let me know if you would be interested.

You guys know that mazdatrix sells them, right???
If you make a short shifter, dont jus tmake th etop shorter. You need to offset the mounting point higher, so the overall height of the shifter is the same, but the length of the bottom is longer than before and the top is shortened.
This makes the throw much shorter than just chopping the top off.

It's already been made by a forum member. PM hIGGI. I have one. It's CNC'ed and was a perfect fit on either 1st or 2nd gen. Comes complete with the spacers and bolts also. Why don't you work out a deal to get them at a cheaper price and import them, then offer them on here. Streamline the process of getting one.

poppin' tha collar yo'...lol....Just wanted to help out....Put me in line for that shifter. Let us know when it's gonna be done. Is it going to come with one of those rubber boots(cover)? Or anyone know where I can find one...Not the shift boot, but the rubber one that goes at the very base of the shifter.

Mazdatrix.com has the rubber boot, as well as in the Victoria British catalog, which I highly suggest you order, for reference if nothing else....And it's free bathroom reading material.
