How does street porting affect emissions?

How does street porting affect emissions?
Was looking in to a street ported 12A, but I gotta ask whether or not it really messes with the emissions first. It passed fine this year, but if I go to the street port, is it going to get bad? They generally test at idle and ~2500 rpm.

They didn't have a "visual" inspection back then. I just had my mechanic run it reeaaal lean for about 15 minutes.
Since then, emmissions inspections have been removed from Florida (yeay!)
But just so you know, it could work. Especially if you still have your cats and rats nest in place.

you lucky bastard. i hate living in a smog **** state. i have no idea what i am going to do to get mine smoged.
as far as streetporting goes though, idonot think that you will have a problem with emissions. before i put in my new exhaust, my streetported 13b (was in an 80 then) passed with no problems.
