How did you guys prep your bumper covers for paint?

Im prepping the 7 to be painted and i was wandering what i should do on the bumper covers on both ends with that black strip of wierd material. Let me know, thanks...God bless

The black strip is just unpainted urethane. It is the same material as the rest of the bumper.

Sand it with 320, clean it really well. You may have to add a flex agent to the paint depending on what you are using. Just ask where you buy the paint they'll have your answer.
