Same thing happened on my Mustang and it turned out to be a fuse. But if its getting power I wouldn't think a fuse would be the culprit. Probably a short somewhere in the wiring.

Check to see if your brake lights work, if neither do then it is your fuse.

The horn switch grounds through the steering column by the body of the shaft, and a small wire to maintain conductivity through the collapsible joint. First check you are getting 12V and a decent ground at the connections to the horn, or try applying 12V and ground to the horn with it off the car. If that works, start tracing it backwards, checking for blown fuses and then ensure the horn button is functioning correctly.

The horn is getting no power what so ever its a brand new horn and i tested it it does work as for tracing the wire back its almost impossible it runs into another harness with all kinds of stuff blocking it everyother light on the car works...... any ways to run a new wire?

Thanks again

You just need a constant power source to one side of the horn switch, ie from battery. Should have a wire coming off ignition switch you can splice into.

Download the correct wiring diagram from my signature. Then look up the horn circuit. Mazda shows you the routing. Start following the circuit along the diagram, checking for correct voltages at the easiest places, ie plugs and whatnot to narrow it down.

This is the best aftermarket horn kit on the market ........
Ok seriously......You could run a wire from the hot lead on the back of the alternator, through the firewall, into the steering column and splice it to the wire at the horn button. It's a bit of a ghetto fix, but it'sa lot easier than digging into the harness if you're not comfortable with that kind of thing (although it's just more of a pita than it is complicated).

Two filament bulbs are usually a combo of tail light and brake light. One filament on when your lights are on and the second comes on for the brakes. Is this what you mean?

okay i fixed the turn lamp changed out the male conectrors in the wiring. Works great....back to the horn, followed wires all the way back to the fire wall no power! underneath the dash i found where the horn runs to the fuse panel but those wires run into a gold / bronze metal "Thingy" thats attached to a big *** piece of plastic with some other connecters also running to it.... WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT!!! i cant even get a meter back there i looked at the wiring diagram i think its the horn relay ??? :S

Thanks again

I used to be able to pull my steering wheel out about 1/2 an inch or so and push it back in. When you pull it out the horn didn't work. When you push it in the horn worked. Maybe that's because when the steering wheel was pulled out it didn't get a good ground. Could be something similar with yours. Maybe not.

Lemme guess you have the re-speed steering rack?

The horn grounds through the steering shaft. The steering lock in your ign cyl is grounding the steering shaft with the key out. Putting in the key, retracts the steering lock tab.

My solution was to fit a piece of copper between the rack housing and the bolts for the rack. Like this:
