homemade ram air

does anybody know about making your own ram air intake on and 84 12a carburated GS? ive been searching and searching for and intake for mine but i cant find any for first gen carburated engines. some one help me out.

basically take some dryer ducting and clamp it to the airbox, then route it to fresh air...
There is a how-to, but i will have to look for it.

Ramming air into the stock carb and air cleaner will do very little for a performance increase. The true benefit is supplying cooler air to the carb. Cooler air is denser, therefore it contains more oxygen to aid in burning the fuel mixture. Iirc, ISC Racing makes a CAI kit.

Making one out of aluminum dryer vent hose can be as effective as spending the big bucks on a pre-made one.
